A group of five young people from Edo City venture onto a mysterious rocky island and stumble upon Doctor Hoarai’s secret project – a fleet of mecha designed to defend against an impending invasion by a race of subterranean beings. Despite being mocked by the scientific community for his predictions, Doctor Hoarai had dedicated his life to preparing for this attack. Even after his passing, he found a way to transfer his consciousness into a computer and guide the youths in piloting the mecha to protect Earth. Thus, the Gowapper 5 Godam team is formed! With their powerful fighting robot Godam, under the leadership of Yoko Misaki, they embark on a mission to confront the inhuman horde and save humanity.
